Accountability and why it's the missing ingredient

Accountability is something that a lot of women I work with say they need.

"I need to be kept accountable otherwise I wouldn't do it."

And do you know why this is?

It's because we don't like letting other people down.

It's the people pleaser in us.

And there's a lot of people pleasing isn't there?

However, we can let ourselves down.

We can promise that this time it will be different. You will be more motivated and determined than ever.

But it still doesn't work out, does it?

Because there's always someone else who needs to come first.

There's always something that needs doing instead.

That's where accountability comes in.

Because as a perfectionist and someone with a really high standard of doing "life", then you want to do things to the best of your ability.

So when you say to someone else that it's going to happen - it happens.

Now then as you probably would expect from me - my accountability is different. It's not accountability covered in shame.

Because as you should all know by now "shame inhibits our ability to change".

It's not a "shouty" accountability, because you are a grown woman and you don't need telling off.

It's not a "you should do better" accountability. It's a quiet and soft accountability, designed to bring out your own internal motivation, play a little on your people pleasing (yes, I'm not going to lie) and most of all it's accountability that works.

That's why I'm excited to introduce to you my "April Accountability Challenge".

Because I know that you will benefit from it, I know that you will get closer to your health and fitness goals using it and I know that it will set up for a successful April, Easter and beyond.

Sounds simple and too good? It's simple but it's not too good!

Here's how it works -

- Join the whatsapp group (You can mute it don't worry and I make sure all chat is kept to just accountability things)

- Post what you want to be kept accountable for, it can be a daily thing or weekly or whatever. Has to support your health and fitness though......

- Every day (or whatever your timescale) you will be asked if you have completed it by me.

- Even better though is when you complete your task you pop it in the group proactively.

- We all support, encourage and motivate each other and at the end of the two weeks, you will be a healthier, happier and fitter version of you.

Who wouldn't want to start April off like that? We start on Tuesday April 1st for two weeks, it's completely free too. I've popped it up on my social media stories and I've already got 4 action takers in the group - are you going to be joining them?
